 Cruise Ship Jobs Hub Advice

Don't overlook entry-level positions.

Many senior crew members—including Guest Service Managers, Security Officers, Pursers and Hotel Managers—began their careers as Galley Utility, Housekeeping or Laundry crew. Your first contract is about gaining experience, building your reputation and opening the door to better opportunities. I always advise people to try and push to get in no matter the position once you are in it's very easy to change departments. I started off in the Spa as a Nail technician then I changed I moved to Guest Services, I covered positions such as Concierge, Librarian and ended up being promoted to Reception Manager.

Consistency, professionalism and a positive attitude can take you further than experience alone.
