Cruise Ship Jobs Hub is an independent information website created to help aspiring cruise-ship crew members, experienced seafarers and cruise travellers find clearer, safer and more practical information.

The website has a special focus on African applicants while also supporting readers from around the world.

About the Founder

Cruise Ship Jobs Hub was created by a former cruise-ship crew member with more than 10 years of onboard experience.

My cruise career began in the spa industry as a nail technician with OneSpaWorld, working aboard Disney Cruise Line and later Azamara. I later moved into guest services with Cunard.

My guest-services responsibilities included assisting guests, coordinating disembarkation, arranging transfers, supporting wheelchair users, managing complaints, helping guests with internet queries and completing night-shift responsibilities.

Back home with my little one, but still a sailor at heart—sharing practical cruise-job and port guidance from more than 10 years at sea.

Why I Created Cruise Ship Jobs Hub

During my years at sea, I saw how difficult it could be for aspiring crew members to find accurate information about cruise jobs, certificates, recruiters and life onboard.

African candidates often face additional challenges, including limited access to recognised recruiters, confusion about required documents and exposure to recruitment scams.

Now that I am back home raising my children, part of me still feels like a sailor. I may no longer be welcoming guests onboard every day, but I still want to use what I learned at sea to help others.

Having visited many cruise ports during my career, I also wanted to create a place where cruise guests could find practical information about port weather, transport, safety, local attractions and what to expect ashore.

Cruise Ship Jobs Hub allows me to continue helping both aspiring crew members and cruise travellers while keeping my connection with the cruise world alive.
